Aloha 2017

Here we are looking at a New Year! Aloha 2017. This year flew by and looking back there a lot of terrific memories of time spent with family and friends. I am so grateful for all the moments and challenges. 

We felt pretty damn lucky to close out 2017 with a vitamin D recharge and some serious relaxation in Hawaii!  Did someone say MaiTai's and sun? Yes. Please.  Compliments of my husband's job we we went to Maui and then headed to Oahu to visit my mom who recently moved back. 

Here's a highlight of our 14 glorious days chilling in paradise. My photos will never capture the true beauty of these beautiful and sacred islands.  May your New Year be "Luckey" and filled with peace and prosperity!

A 2018 professional development goal is to learn how to capture the stars. So I took advantage of the the star gazing, which was spectacular to work on my skills. This was my best image from a series mistrials.  I can still smell the Plumeria flowers hanging in the air when I look back at these images.

Holiday Mini Session at Reilly's Farm with the Uccellini Family

This gorgeous family always fun to get together with for a seasonal photo session. When we initially decided on our holiday session at Reilly's Farm, we knew there was a chance we may not have snow. As the date got closer - nothing had fallen and that was okay. Well,  Mother Nature had something else in store, we got SNOW! It turned out to be the sweetest winter wonderland for the little one.  She enjoyed decorating her tree and getting pulled on her little red sled.

So this is my darling friend's daughter, who I can't ever get enough of.  Her spunky personality and kind heart amazes me every time we hang out. So this year we decided on some new fun holiday photos for the walls in their living room. Honestly, she made my job so easy between mom's styling and her gorgeous good looks, I couldn't have messed this up. She loved the Reilly's Tree Farm and all it's holiday decorations.

Holiday mini session for this sweet family and their impending bundle of love? Okay! Reilly's Tree Farm, provided a good back drop for several of my holiday mini sessions this past winter.  It's important to me that there's always personal touch in the photos, so when they showed up with two baby items from the husband's childhood, I was stoked, not too mention their furry buddy who did her best to pose for the camera. Wishing them luck on their new adventure into parenthood.

Meet the latest addition to the Zimmerman family, I have had the opportunity to photograph their clan starting with Miss Kasey Elaine. We have spent several seasons together and I have loved watching her grow into a sweet young lady. So when they said they were expecting a little sister for her I was thrilled to be part of documenting her as well.

 These images are from her in-hospital and at-home shoots. She did wonderful and was happy just to chill with big sister for her newborn portraits. I look forward to her year of milestones.
